Objectives
At RapidSoft, we are committed to providing our client with Innovative and Excellent Business Software solutions to meet their requirements. With our refined System Development Methodology, we are able to develop System solutions, Speedily, Efficiently and Cost Effectively. We are constantly striving to improve our service to our customers.
The Beginning
In July 1995, equipped with a Desktop PC and 19 years of System Development and Support experience, RapidSoft's humble beginning commenced in a shared rented place in Lenasia, Johannesburg.
The Managing Director, Naushad Kazi, started off as a COBOL programmer in 1976. After Qualifying as Cobol Programmer, Commenced his working career at Consol Glass as a Junior Programmer. In the three years at Consol Glass he progressed to become an Analyst Programmer. During this period, learnt RPG II language and was responsible for Many Systems and was part of many projects.
From 1980 to 1984, he worked at Van Zyl & Pritchard (a computer Training College where he originally qualified from) as a tutor. In his spare time from his teaching duties, he took it upon himself to do Research and Development. He improved upon the System Design and Programming Methodologies that were being thought at van Zyl & Pritchard. He designed and developed several in-house Systems, such as the Student Management System and the Data Matrix System which was to fast track System Analysis and Design with many state-of-the-art innovative features..
At van Zyl & Pritchard, he setup a Software Division to provide Customized Software Solutions for various clients. Notable amongst these were the Tendering, Contracting, Production Planning and Stock Control system for WJ Engineering and several systems for Lebowa Government.
From December 1984 to June 1995, I worked as a Contract Programmer. During this period, I got to work for many companies on a variety of systems and very challenging environments. Notable amongst these was the six years that I spent at FedSure, where I was part of many development teams and involved in many different projects and managed some very innovative developments. G.D. Searle was another company where I was contracted for three years involved with many developments, running the one man IT shop.
Initially at RapidSoft, they started off developing systems for corporate clients on Windows Platform using Clarion as the Rapid Application Genrator development tool. Subsequently, sensing huge potential in the SMME market, they expanded their range of products by developing Point-of-sale, Production Planning & Manufacturing and Fleet Management type of systems for the SMME sector. Eventually, creating many Industry Specific Point-of-Sale solutions for the Retail and Wholesale market. Along the way, created a niche market for its various Point-of-Sale products.

With software tools like Remote Desktop, Team Viewer and Log Me In etc, supporting customers Globally has become extremely easy. One doesn't need to have physical presence in order to assist clients across the globe. Hence, RapidSoft is in negotiation with several overseas clients and soon expect to see our client base extend phenomenally in the coming months.
The Journey
In July 1995, acquired a shared office with Shar's Electronics, in Murzooq Centre, Lenasia, Johannesburg. Six months later, moved in to a bigger premises in Jespan Centre, Extension 8, Lenasia and remained there for over Four years.
In April 2000, moved to Mayfair and a year later occupied the long term base in Hurst Hill.
Accolades
Over the years, RapidSoft has received many accolades, verbal, recorded, certificates, plaques etc from a growing number of very appreciative clients. Pride of place goes to the nomination that RapidSoft received in 2012 Islamic Finance's Small Business of the year category. RapidSoft was one of three finalists and at a Gala Dinner at Wanderers Club, RapidSoft ended up as the Runners-up.

Alhamdulillah, over the years, we have been involved with a number of projects with different organizations where we have assisted them with their software needs. In addition, we have done some software that is useful for individual Muslims as well as communities. Some of these are listed below:

www.mbdsa.co.za : Muslim Business Directory - where muslim businesses are listed and FREE listing is provided to Home Industries as well. Community Wall and Classified sections are also available for FREE use. Useful FREE downloads are also available on the site.
halaal.recipes : A very popular website for sharing recipe's.
We have developed several websites for Madressah's and other Islamic Organizations.
Musjid Salaah Timetable (MuST) Software
Alhamdulillah, we have developed a very popular software for Musjid Timetable. It is being used across the country in many Musaajids. We have enquiries from neighbouring countries as well as UK and India.

Darul Ifta Software
Alhamdulillah, we have developed a software for Jamiatul Ulama South Africa, that manages all the Questions posed to the Ifta department and directs it to the appropriate Mufti for Answer. From there it is passed on to two different Muftis for confirmation before it is released to the sender via email or fax. The system is in operation for many years now.
Salaah Tracker
This software allows one to Log all the obligatory Salaah that are being performed. One could produce a chart depicting the Outstanding as well as fulfilled Salaahs. One could produce a chart of any past year and perform Qadhaa-e-Umri and log it on the system. At any given time one could produce a list of lifetime Salaahs that are outstanding. It can be taken into account at the time of drawing up a will.
Crescent of Hope
We have developed numerous Management Systems for the Crescent of Hope.
